Hi, I’m Monika
I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Chicago.
My husband Matthew and I met in a Leadership Training Class at our church. We have been together for 14 beautiful years.
On wedding days, I am warm, friendly, and calm. I look for natural emotion and make sure to keep you fully present so that you can enjoy every moment. My style is classic and vibrant. I don’t subscribe to trends. I want your photos to be as beautiful on your 25th Anniversary as they are the day I capture them.
I believe wedding days are about more than just photos, they are one of the only times your whole family comes together. I want to make sure you fully experience that day with your loved ones and photos are a gorgeous result of that time spent together. I want you to remember the feeling of joy each time you look at them.
Matthew is in IT and his brain is wired for all things tech related. He is usually my second pair of hands at weddings, and he does all of our clients videos.
When I started Creative M Photography (now Creative M Weddings), I was photographing in film and photography was my side hustle. Since then, I have photographed more than 950 weddings in 12 states and 3 countries.

Wedding photography combines my love of art, creative direction, and people. When I’m not photographing weddings, I am in my Chicago studio creating portraits for our clients.
My husband and I live just outside the city in a little mid century modern home full of mid century furniture and paintings. We love great coffee, dessert, the ocean, and dancing.
